How to Print a Turnitin Report

How-to guidesBy the AIandSimilarityReports.com team4 min read

Turnitin reports print best from a downloaded PDF. Some report views also have a Print option in their Share or Download menu. Here is how to print your Turnitin similarity report from each view, with highlights intact.

Print from Feedback Studio

  1. Open your report.
  2. Make sure the Similarity layer is switched on. Turn off other layers such as QuickMarks if you do not want them.
  3. Click the download icon (a down arrow) and choose Current View.
  4. Wait for the PDF to download. Do not leave the viewer while it is being prepared.
  5. Open the PDF and press Ctrl + P (Windows) or Cmd + P (Mac).

Print from the new Similarity Report view

  1. Click the download icon at the top of the report.
  2. Choose Similarity Report to save the PDF, or the print option where your institution's version offers it.
  3. Print the PDF from your PDF reader.

Print from the Share menu (Similarity / SimCheck view)

  1. Open the Share menu in the bottom-left corner of the viewer.
  2. Select Print, then use your browser's print dialog.

Printing tips

  • Print only what you need. The first two or three pages hold the score, match groups and top sources. In your print dialog, set pages to 1-3 for a summary.
  • Print in colour. Highlights are colour-coded by source. In black and white they all look the same.
  • Save paper with two pages per sheet. Use the "Pages per sheet" option.
  • No highlights in your printout? The Similarity layer was off when you downloaded. Turn it on and download again.
